Friday Favorites

I'm BAACCKKKK! I am so sorry that I have been MIA for a little while. I was so busy with VBS, work, and then we went on vacation so I am just now getting back & getting a little bit back to normal. I plan to get back to blogging more, but I am not making any promises!

ONE

 

For our vacation, I scooped up this backpack w/ a leash from Amazon. Callon has gotten to where he hates to ride in the stroller & would rather walk like a big boy. He tends to sometimes want to object to holding hands so I figured this may be a solution! I never thought I would be a mom who used one of these, but I got it!. It is a Skip Hop brand & it is so cute! We never actually used the leash this time. Callon did so good walking and staying right with us. The backpack is the perfect size for him. I let him choose a few toys and books to take with us for our vacation. It was the perfect size for his horses, cows, tractor, and a paw patrol book.

 

 

 

TWO

I just found out this week that our local Walmart is starting the Grocery Pickup! I am beyond excited! I have seen so many bloggers post about how awesome this service is! I am from a small town in MS so we are usually last to get things like this. I absolutely cannot wait for this to start at the end of this month. I hope this can help me with meal planning & saving money. I get so overwhelmed when I go into the grocery store & I just pick up things we don't need on impulse. This is a GAMECHANGER!

Big Brother has started! It's one of our favorite shows around the house! It has been a good season thus far w/ sooo many twists!

 

FOUR

A couple of weeks ago, I got a new SUV. I absolutely love it! We are getting great gas mileage which is also a plus! It has been my favorite vehicle I've ever owned.

 

 

FIVE

I recently started reading this book during vacation after seeing a lot of suggestion on blogs. I already love it! I can't wait to finish it.

Friday Favorites

Happpppppyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Fridayyyyyyyyyyyy!!! Yay! It has been a crazy, busy, and stressful week this week. I have been busy at work, and Callon has been sick all week. The steroids/antibiotics finally kicked in last night and he was soooo much better!

I am going to share some random favorites this week! It will be pretty short & sweet!  I hope everyone has a great weekend!

ONE

 

I had a little bit of time yesterday to browse at the mall before I met my husband. I went in looking for a  new dress, but of course I couldn't find one that I just loved. :( I found these shorts & I am obsessed! I must get them! They are Crown & Ivy brand at Belk. They are super comfy and they even come in coral! Being a plus size gal, it's hard to find shorts that I love. These are definitely going to be a staple for summer.

I am wanting to start exercising more (hopefully daily), but my goal is to do it at least 4 times a week. I've been looking into getting a FitBit so I can keep track of my steps and hopefully it will give me a motivation to see my steps in numbers. I can't decide what kind I want though. Does anyone have one? What do you suggest??

 DWTS!!! The finale is next week & I am so excited! I'm not a dancer, but I am obsessed with this show!

 

FOUR

Guess what comes back on Monday night???????????????????????????? The Bachelorette! I  have been counting down alllllll week!

 

FIVE

I am always looking for ways to save money, and I LOOVVEE and am a sucker for wooden door hangers for my house! I just can't keep spending $50 a pop every time so I decided to make one! It's not perfect, but I love it! :)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday Everyone!! I am so ready for the weekend! It seems like our weekends are jam packed here lately. We had Callon's birthday party last weekend and this weekend we are going out of town. Next weekend,  we have my cousin's graduation and the weekend after will be devoted to VBS prep at our church. whew! I'm already tired.

ONE

For one of Callon's birthday presents, we bought him tickets to a Day out with Thomas in Calera, AL. I can't wait to see his face tomorrow when he sees this in person! We have been reminding him all week about going to ride the train this weekend, but I don't think he really grasps what we are talking about.

 

TWO

I found this awesome drink dispenser from Walmart this past weekend for Callon's party. It was under 15 bucks! I love it! I've been needing one for a while, but I never really bit the bullet. I always just borrowed one from my mom.

 

THREE

Callon got this game for his birthday this past weekend. We have played this a couple times this week. We LOVE it! It is a great game to get for your toddler! It will help them learn emotions, colors, numbers, etc. You can find it here. Roll and Play Game
 

 FOUR

 I have been trying to eat healthier here lately, and I struggle with breakfasts. I am just not a breakfast person. I could do without it. I recently found this yogurt at a local grocery store. I am obsessed with it! It tastes just like a piece of Lemon pie. (PLUS ITS only 100 calories!!) You should try it!

Happy Friday Everyone!!! We made it through the week!!! Whew! It has been a crazy busy week for us! Callon's Birthday is tomorrow so it has been very hectic getting it all together! Luckily, my work has been pretty calm this week so that helps.

I love shopping off of Facebook groups and preorder pages. I am really loving the Smocked PolkaDot lately. The train outfit above is from there. I also got this outfit for Callon. He wore it yesterday for his class pictures at daycare. I will post the link below! I also adore the new Sun San Sailor sandals for boys! I got Callon this tan pair and navy!

I recently bought this BB cream from the local drug store. I love how light it is, and it the perfect amount of coverage.

I was needing some new summer sandals for this year, and I never could find any that I just loved and was comfortable. **Even though it is like 45 degrees here in South MS in May which is crazy! I feel like I shouldn't even be talking about sandals. Anyways... I finally found these!! I love them! I have them in brown and black.  What are your favorite sandals for summer???

I recently was able to catch up on some TV episodes this week. I started watching the HGTV Home Town show and I LOVE it!! It is set in Laurel, MS which is about an hour from where I live. How cool is that??? I love Erin's sense of style and the way she incorporates the old and antique items in the houses. I highly suggest you check it out if you like Chip & JoAnna's Fixer Upper show.

 

 

I hope everyone has a great weekend!! I can't wait until 5pm this afternoon so I can get off. It will be hectic since I have Callon's party this weekend, and I will be trying to get everything cleaned and prepped for his party. I can't believe I have a 2 year old now!! He has grown up too fast!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday everyone! I have totally been slacking on the blog posts this year. I know I said I was starting this to do better......... but I haven't :(

Anyways... My goal is to post at least ONCE per week. We shall see how I do. I plan to do an about me post soon to introduce my family and I.

I hope everyone has been having a good week so far. We have had a crazy week this week, but I am determined to not let that get me down. I hope that my little family can have a nice relaxing weekend.

I was able to run on my lunch break yesterday to pick up one gift for my husband for Valentine's Day. He requested Happy Socks! I picked him up a pair these and these. He's never worn these before, but he's been wanting to try them. I hope he likes them. I still have to pick him out a few more little things to go with it. I also have got to find Callon something.

 

(TWO)

 

 Code Black FINALE!. Yes, I have been obsessed with watching this show. The part 2 season finale was this week. It definitely kept me on my toes. Wow. I'm sad it is over though, and I hope they get renewed for another season. Also, my husband and I love to watch all three of the Chicago shows on NBC. They are our favorite shows to watch after a long day at work.

My son has a Valentine's party at daycare next week. I was able to finish his valentines for his friends yesterday, and I am obsessed. They are too cute!

I found the cute little sports balls here. The mesh was found at Walmart for only 97 cents! Score! The cute tags were found here. They were super easy to make, and they only cost probably less than a dollar each. I am all about a deal. Callon is obsessed with sports balls. He loves to play catch. We are hoping we have a little ball player on our hands in a few years. I can see many trips to a baseball field in our future.

Spring is just around the corner. Callon is growing out of all his clothes and shoes. I am loving these shoes from Target. I am going to be snagging these for him soon. I think they come in other colors as well. I think they will be perfect for the pool, and they will be easy to keep clean.

I am in the process of organizing & de-cluttering my whole house. Callon has soooo many toys and books that they were literally taking over the whole house. I have been looking for storage options for a while now, but I never found anything I loved. I finally decided to get this shelf. My husband and I put it together the other night while watching the bachelor. I haven't finished organizing everything yet, but I can already tell you that I am in love.
